The purpose of Service Validation and Testing (SVT) is to ensure that the new or changed IT Service matches its design specification and meet the needs of the business.
The objectives of service validation and testing are to:
- Plan and implement a structured validation and testing process that is consistent, tailorable and repeatable
- Provide confidence that a release will have minimal or no disruption and meet the business requirements
- Quality assure a release
